# GMaps To GPX

> GMaps To GPX converts Google Maps directions URLs into downloadable GPX files for GPS apps and devices. Paste a full Maps link or a short maps.app.goo.gl link, choose track or waypoint format, and export GPX for Android, iPhone/Xcode, Pokemon GO tools, Garmin workflows, and more.

GMaps To GPX (https://gmapstogpx.com) is an independent web tool — not a Google product and not AllTrails.

Important notes:

- Primary product: Google Maps directions URL → GPX (track = dense road path; route/waypoint = key turn points).
- Short links (maps.app.goo.gl) work when they expand to a directions URL containing `/dir/`.
- Maps→GPX conversion requires Google sign-in and uses credits (new accounts get a small number of free credits; credits never expire). See Pricing.
- Format conversion tools under /tools and the GPX Viewer run in the browser and are free (no credits).
- Multi-stop directions are supported. Transit depends on Google Maps coverage for the region.
